DESCRIPTION:Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem\n\n\n\nCommunity Sing & Fundraiser\n\n\n\n Join the Seattle Bach Choir for a read-through of Johannes Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem\, conducted by Artistic Director Dan Mahraun and accompanied by pianists Rey Chen and Al Berg.This Lenten-season event is a fundraiser for the Seattle Bach Choir. \n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\n\n\n\nSuggested donation:  $30 (larger gifts appreciated)\n\n\n\nNo reservation required\n\n\n\nPayment at the door:  cash\, check\, or credit card\n\n\n\n\nDonations may be made in honor or memory of others. We will use the piano four-hands version\, first performed at the 1871 London premiere and long favored for both public and private performances. \n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\nFaith Lutheran Church\, longtime musical home of the late Nan Beth Walton\, former Director of Music at the church and a leader of the Seattle Bach Choir. The church now features a 9-foot Grotrian-Steinweg concert grand piano\, an instrument ideally suited to this music.
