Nan Beth Walton, 1949-2023
Dear Seattle Bach Choir Members and Supporters,
We share sad news of the passing from life to death of our beloved colleague Nan Beth Walton. Nan Beth was a singer in Seattle Bach Choir for many years, also serving on the board and as board president. She was an amazingly talented singer with a beautiful, expressive voice. She was also a pianist and harpist and played other instruments as well. For many years she was a church musician, playing piano and organ and directing adults and children in choirs, and she was a school music teacher as well. She was also a skilled composer.
Beyond Seattle Bach Choir she participated in many other music projects. She always supported work to bring music to under-served populations.
In all that she did, Nan Beth was a caring, welcoming, sincere, humble, and proactive leader, friend, and team member. We will miss her greatly. As we honor her memory when we gather to sing, we will always be grateful for the kindness and talent she shared with us for so many years.
