March Concert, 3/16/2025

Our March concert will feature Bach’s G major mass with a baroque orchestra and soloists! This will be our first concert in over a year with orchestra, and we’re really looking forward to it. The piece is structured somewhat similarly to a cantata, with both choral movements and solo movements, plus a duet movement.

Another featured piece on the program is a new work that we have specially commissioned to help us celebrate the choir’s 40th anniversary! The piece, written for us by Linda Kachelmeier, uses a text that is a translated direct quote from Martin Luther and uses organ accompaniment.

Other composers featured on the program include Michael Praetorius, Nikolaus Decius, and Hans Leo Hassler, among others. We hope you can come hear us on March 16th at 3:00 pm at Trinity Parish Church, 609 8th Avenue in Seattle.
