MORITZ & MADRIGALS

Moritz of Hesse-Kassel was the first patron of Heinrich Schütz, financing the composer’s first trip to Venice, where he studied with Giovanni Gabrieli. We will perform selections from Schütz’s Italian Madrigals and settings by the dedicatee of that collection, Duke Moritz himself. Admission will again be by suggested donation of $20 for adults, and $18 for seniors and children under 18, or as you are able.
