Mozart a la Czerny

Much legend and fiction surround Mozart’s final days while he wrote his Requiem Mass. What is certain is that this is a masterwork. We will perform this summation of Mozart’s creative genius in the traditional completion by Franz Süssmayr. Instead of orchestral accompaniment, however, we will share a more intimate version using famed Czech-Austrian composer and pedagogue Carl Czerny’s four-hand piano transcription.
